
Chef Daniele Corona is a distinguished figure in the culinary world, born and raised in Naples, Italy, in a family deeply passionate about food. His culinary journey began in his family’s kitchen, where the rich traditions of Italian cuisine inspired him to pursue a remarkable career.
After completing his formal education at the prestigious I.P.S.E.O.A. Duca Di Buonvicino Culinary Institute, Chef Corona refined his craft in Milan at Trussardi alla Scala, contributing to the restaurant’s recognition with one Michelin Star. He further elevated his expertise at Oliver Glowig in Rome, a celebrated two-Michelin-star establishment, before joining the esteemed Michelin-starred team at Don Alfonso 1890 in Italy.
Chef Corona later brought his talents to Canada as Executive Chef of Don Alfonso 1890 Toronto at Liberty Entertainment Group, where he successfully translated the culinary vision of the original restaurant to a new international stage. Under his leadership, Don Alfonso 1890 Toronto earned its first Michelin Star in 2022.
He then took the helm at DaNico Toronto, where he continues to redefine contemporary Italian cuisine with creativity, precision, and passion. Under his direction, DaNico earned its first Michelin Star in 2024 and has retained the distinction each year since. With Michelin Stars awarded to two different restaurants under his leadership, Chef Daniele Corona stands as the first Italian chef in Canada to achieve this distinction — a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation in the kitchen.
